BRIEF HIGHLIGHTS OF SULTAN ABDULMADID’S LIFE
AND PUBLIC SERVICE
A scion of many principalities of Lanao, Sultan Abdulamdid P. B. Maruhom was born on 1921 in the Sultanate of Binidayan. His father is Datu Pangcoga Panondiongan adel sa Binidayan brother of Borngao, Ali Dimaporo’s mother, Pangcoga is descended from Maruhom Pongkaiman a first Sultan of Binidayan and great grandson of Sayawa and Ampaso. While his mother Dinganoman is descended from Amai Bayora and Olama of Basak Binidayan a great grandson of Diwan and Dianaton of Butig. Amai Bayora is a brother of Maruhom sa Binidayan. Dinganoman mother is a daughter of Bolawan of Tubaran and the grandson of Pagayawan Arobero.
Abdulamdid P.B. Maruhom was crowned Panondiongan adel of Binidayan and appointed mayor of Binidayan on President Manuel Roxas to Ramon Magsaysay regime, in a short period Abdulamdid resigned as mayor of Binidayan and become active Veterans rebel on Japanese war in the Philippines on 1941. He stayed at Barangay Marogong of Municipality of Tubaran with his 300 loyal Supporters and friends, World War II was spread to the Philippines on 1941 and Marogong become their Principal Camp, he is a great commander and leader of the said Group.
Time passed, people of Tubaran his mother place, approached him to continue his political carriers and run for Mayor against the undefeated mayor of Tubaran Ona Kibad, Abdulmadid P.B. Maruhom become 4th mayor of Tubaran on May 9. 1970. By virtue of Presidential decree No. 1131 dated May 7, 1977 Barangay Marogong was created into a regular municipality of Lanao from the mother Municipality Tubaran.
Panondiongan Abdulmadid P.B. Maruhom first appointed municipal mayor of Marogong and first elected mayor of Marogong when he won the election on January 30, 1980. for the first municipal Government officials. He graduated mayor on June 20, 2001 and his son Sultan Amron Tampugao Maruhom succeeded him as a municipal mayor to the present. on early part of 2001 Abdulmadid P.B. Maruhom established and created a Sultanate system of Marogong (Taritib a Marogong) and he was crowned first Sultan of Marogong or as a Onayan in General, According to the well of Sultan Abdulamdid, Marogong was divided into a four 4 Principalities, Namely Balut, Mayaman, Cabasaran and Butayan, and the four 4 councilors of Sultan (Pat a Datu a Odasa o Sulotan sa Marogong) must be from the said place and its territory, the four Councilors namely Datu a Cabogatan, Radiamuda, Usngan and Sultan a Romapunut of Marogong….
During the leadership of sultan Abdulmadid, he received various awards from the different government and private organization, one of them was Philippine media excellent awards for progress 93 as model mayor a public servant for his charitable services to humanity and civic duties to the community, civic spirited citizen of the new republic of the Philippines.

MARRIEAGES
Abdulmadid P.B. Maruhom first married to Bae Pantalan daughter of late Sultan of Wato Dangcogan Dimaporo and Potre Piki Bae a labi sa Poona Masiu, out of their marriage got Datu Pasayod, when Pantalan died on her second delivery, Abdulmadid again married to Bae Darakag hadji Moomina his first degree cousin and cousin of Pantalan, they got Olowa, Nasroden, Paladan and Bashier, not so long, he then married Bae Sabimbing hadji Sobaida a widow of Col. Mamasao, a scion of Tubaran Hadji Sobaida and Abdulmadid begot Potre Salam, Monarabae, Actor and Mayor Amron Romompac,
He become a regular employee of Matling industrial company incorporated, with a specific position as foreman (KAPATAS) of all labors employees, who happened to mate Bae Pundilabi sister of his officemate Panondiongan sa Maganding tubok, he courted her and become his 4th wife, in a short period Pundilabi died early with no heir, Abdulmadid resigned in his position as a foreman and went back to Binidayan who happened to married Bae Pili hadji Mariam Maruhombusar a scion of Ganasi, Madamba and Makagiling, his marriage with Bae Pili graced with five children, Apinton, Fatah, Asral, Raihana and Datu Abolhair,
At that time he had only 3 wives and decided to marry his secret love Bae Rocondaya Analo Digadong a scion of Binidayan, Bae Rocondaya is unable to give birth. After few years hadji Moomina and hadji Sobaida reached an old ages and voluntarily asking their husband for a Financially divorced (minda sa Alongan) then Rocondaya let her Husban Abdulamdid married her best friend and cousin Bae Sittie hadji Casana sister of Jamel Olama in a short period they got divorced, hadji Moomina got angry on what Rocondaya did and let their husband married her cousin Bae Bolawan hadji Moslima Candia a scion of both Binidayan and Bayang, out of the marriage begot Abiboden, Jamaiya and Datu Saadoden, same situation with hadji Sobaida she let Abdulmadid married her niece Bae Fatima hadji Noor daughter of Mabanding a scion from Lumbatan and got only Datu Samad,
Time passed, Rocondaya and Abdulmadid got misunderstanding and resulting a none formal divorced. Then Abdulamdid lastly married to Bae Maimuna hadji Maimuna Bae a labi sa Tubok niece of his died wife Pundilabi, a scion of Tubok and Malabang Maimuna graced with a Beautiful daughter Anta Zuhaila name to Anta sa Tubok ancestor from Onayan and Tubok and one of five Nonies in Lanao…
In 2005 Sultan Abdulmadid P.B. Maruhom return to the grace of Allah, May Allah bless his soul, Abdulamdid become Icon in the middle part of Onayan particularly in Marogong, Tubaran and Binidayan…..
